I just had to make an announcement about this. My good friend, Ken Masters, has come out with a kickass game that he made. It's based off Halo.
I suggest you FPS lovers should definitely check it out. It's amazing!!! So far he just has a demo out, but I'm sure when the full version comes out, you'll crap yourself.

Designsector.org is due to expire in July. So I have switched the domain provider to 1and1 instead of continuing service with Optinom (previous provider).
Basically, designsector.org will be down for a few days.
The website will be down. Not the forums
If you guys are interested in buying domains, defintiely check out 1and1.com. $7/yr is a price that can't be beat. |

As you all might have noticed, all my skins and codes don't work anymore. That is because everything has been deleted from http://dstest2.ipbfree.com (Not by me).
That used to be my test forums where I would upload all the codes and skins and it looks like it's been hacked. I tried to login but my password doesn't work anymore. So I'm guessing the hacker hacked by account or did some diablo shit to hack the forum itself.
I'll try to get in touch in IPBFree administration to get it restored to a previous backup. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.
For now, the eenora (default) skin is a little screwy on this forum. I suggest you temporarily use "Serenity".
I'll keep you all posted on what happens. |

Hey guys,
Yes, I'm still alive. I'm sorry I haven't been on in while. I've been extremely busy with college and work. I figured I'd get online and just drop a line since the lovely KenMasters said that I've been missed. And the 117 pms prove that (thank you very much  ).
Anywhoozle, just wanted to let you guys know that my finals end May 12th, so I should be online after that.
About the POLL
I'm thinking about creating a Text-based Role-playing game over the summer. It's like a regular RPG but it works off your browser (IE/FF/etc) and it's like you click a button and some action occurs. A little hard to explain if you haven't played one already ... try out: http://reignofblood.net/index.php?step=screenshots (That's the screenshots page so you can see what that game looks/feels like).
Basically, I wan't to know if you guys would be interested to play a game like that. I don't really want to make this game if not many people are interested in playing it. So post replies letting me know if you're interested.
Oh btw, the game has nothing to do with IPBFree. It will be seperate so it's not like something you can have on your forums. And if you're wondering what type, I haven't decided. It could be fantasy (like Warcraft), or gangster (like Grand Theft Auto). Suggestions are welcome!

Recently, someone has been posing as me and registering on other forums spamming the hell out of them and making conspiracies of me hating IPBFree and my intention to "blow up the retarded admin that built this sh*t" (Sry can't release the forum name that has this funny post). They have also been using my e-mail to convince everyone that it is actually me. Obviously, they don't touch the forums that require e-mail confirmation since this person cannot access my e-mail.
I am here to assure you guys that it is NOT me. I am not registered on any other forums aside from the Source and Support Forums.
If a user under the name of Streek Dime registers on your forum, please ban/suspend/delete that user immediately! Matter of fact, I suggest you all run a ban filter on the username Streek Dime unless you have HEAVY moderation that is effective against spammers.

As some of you may know, I was planning on beginning a video tutorial series for learning javascript! I know it was expected earlier, but because of computer issues, that was delayed.
The first video has finally been released. It's just an Introduction. But I have also laid out a few resources you guys should check out. The first actual video tutorial will be out within the next week. I will repost to this topic when I have released that video!

I realized there are tons of forums that are closed, and others that redirect to the Quick Support forum. In my opinion, still having those ghost forums open is useless so I have hidden them.
Now, the forums that count and mean something are open. If you guys believe that I should bring back one of the hidden forums, then let me know.

I would like to welcome The Undead Wizard to Design Sector's Community Moderator's team! As you can see, with my inactivity we need some help here keeping things organized and in shape, so I decided that The Undead Wizard would be a great addition in helping us run smoothly.
There's no need to give a reason since I'm pretty sure you all know why he's been chosen. As the inactivity of the forums decreases day by day, I tend to see Wiz here a lot compared to others. His knowledge of IPBFree forums, and his tendancy to lend a hand in support is definitely what's needed now

I terribly apologize guys that I have been 100% inactive. College just started and it's my first year so it takes all my time. You would expect that with only 5 hours of classes a day, I would have a lot of time on my hands to do w/e ... but sadly that's not the case. They don't kid when they say college is A LOT of work.
Anyways, I've been getting TONS of PM's with people asking me to reply to their support topics in other forums. I barely have time to come online and when I do, I definitely don't end up checking all the support forums.
So to make everyone's life easier, I have made the "Quick Support" forum. Basically, post all your support questions there. The reason I made this is because it's 10x easier to check 1 support forum compared to 10. If you have a problem with a code, post the link to the code and your problem and likewise with skins. I don't have time to check all the replies to my codes to see if they were questions or comments so this will make mine and hopefully your life easier. And also post regular questions regarding IPBFree problems that you're dealing with.
So ... got questions? Start flooding the Quick Support forum
P.S ... anyone that currently does answer support questions, thanks a BUNCH. And if you want, you can continue to help people out in the Quick Support forum as well. |

Hi, I wanted to inform users that are PM Advertising to cut it out, it's getting annoying.
Secondly, I have been informed that the iPBFree board of Streek Dimes that had all the JavaScript, etc, on it, was deleted while he has been away, so this may cause problems with some of the codes that some of you might be using on your boards. Hopefully something will be back up soon. |

Hello lovely members,
Well finals are over, graduation is this wednesday, and then summer begins! For the summer, I have made plans to go to India! I'll be departing on Saturday, June 21st and returning on Aug 12th. I doubt I'll be on the net there, which basically means I won't be seeing all of you for little a less than 2 months. Hopefully by the time I'm back, Phalanx will be released and I will be back to coding, and DS will flourish again! 
In order to keep the board running smooth and prevent spammers, I have made Sindacious a temp admin till my return. He now has the ban stick, so if you mess with him, you're done for. So for all the people that have flammed him in the past, well I'll see you in 2 months .
I should be on the for the next few days, but I've been invited to over 4 graduation parties thrown by friends of mine so I'll probably be busy with that and packing for my trip.
Anyways, this is probably the last announcement I will be making for another 2 months. I hope you all have a lovely vacation, and I'll see you all in 2 months!
